INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OF LISBON
DESIGN PROJECT & VISION
IndieLisboa International Film Festival focuses on the exhibition of works that fill the void of film circulation shaped by the mainstream production and exhibition dominating the market. Every year, showing more than 270 films, IndieLisboa attracts audiences and film professionals from all over the globe by giving them the opportunity to discover recent films from emerging talents and to rediscover reputed authors. The festival's sections also comprise themed programmes, shining a light on relevant affairs, and aiming for a conceptually and geographically diverse selection.
In line with the festival's ethos, we have developed a website that embodies the multiplicity of IndieLisboa. The website features a clean and modern design, utilizing the Matter San Serif typography as a consistent element across all festival materials. With its rich content and expressive layouts, the website offers visitors an immersive experience, enabling them to explore and appreciate the annual program in its entirety.
One of the significant challenges in designing the website lies in its dual nature. Not only does it serve as a platform for showcasing the current year's program, but it also acts as an archive, housing a wealth of information such as director profiles, competition details, support information, an online shop, and more. This multifaceted functionality enhances the website's value by providing users with a comprehensive resource beyond just the immediate festival experience.
