INSIGHT

To design letters that represent “Light-Year”, the inspiration came when Picasso Put Down His Brushes and Painted With Light Instead.

PROCESS

The meticulous process of assembling and designing the LED lettering, so that it fulfills what was created and reinforces the reading.

DESIGN PROJECT

Inspired by Picasso's light drawings, where light is used to create anything the imagination can conceive. Given the concept of a light-year, nothing less would make sense. It was also essential to understand the characteristics of the LED wire to go beyond conventional designs. Typically, a letter is created with a single, fluid line. Therefore, inspired by Parabole, it was converted to an outline, redesigned, and transformed—turning all right angles into curves and improving the endpoints for better connections.
